Residents in East Dunbartonshire are being invited to share their views on a long-term land-use strategy.

People are being invited to view and comment on the vital document, which when adopted, will guide the future use of land in the region.

The document named LDP2 is set to include policies and sites and will eventually be used to determine planning applications for the area.

Comments and representations on the plan can be made between Monday, 19 October, 2020 and Friday, 15 January. 2021.

Councillor Andrew Polson, Joint Council Leader, said, "East Dunbartonshire's LDP2 is a crucial document, which - when adopted - will guide the future use of land, set out proposals for development and provide the framework for dealing with planning applications.

"I hope as many people as possible take the opportunity to view the Proposed LDP2, making any representations they deem necessary.

"It has been a challenge to craft an effective consultation process at this time, given the ongoing issues presented by the pandemic, so well done to all involved."
