STUDENTS graduating from West College Scotland's Greenock campus are getting access to digital devices to help them study from home.

College bosses delayed the start of the new term to allow last year's students to finish off practical elements of their course which couldn't be completed during lockdown.

Both the Finnart and Waterfront campuses have been adapted to meet the needs of social distancing, smaller class sizes and health and safety measures.

A college spokeswoman said: "We are pleased that students have responded positively to the measures we have introduced and are playing their part in keeping our community safe.

"Beginning their studies during a global pandemic will inevitably mean that this academic year is like no other before it for our students.

"However, we have adapted our curriculum to enable our students to study for their qualifications during these unprecedented times – preparing them for further learning or employment."
