TALENTED performers took to the stage at the Beacon Arts Centre to tell the story of how coronavirus has affected the arts.

Stars from Scottish Opera recorded a digital version of the company's Opera Highlights show.

In the production, four singers and actors imagine a time when performance can once again take place in theatres.

Director Rose Purdie tells the story of current challenges faced by performers and the strange new practices brought in as a result of COVID.

The film will be screened on Scottish Opera's website on World Opera Day - Sunday, October 25 - from 6pm.

Scottish Opera’s general director, Alex Reedijk, said: "We look forward to a time when we take this tour to venues right across Scotland - hopefully soon - and that in the meantime this film will be a welcome diversion."
