Charities will collect food at Tesco in Greenock and Port Glasgow
TWO UK charities providing food to people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic are appealing to people in Inverclyde to support the UK's biggest food collection this Christmas.
Between November 19-21, FareShare and the Trussell Trust will be collecting in the Greenock and Port Glasgow Tesco stores for their annual pre-Christmas food collection.
FareShare are looking for people to volunteer at donation points in the stores, whilst the Trussell Trust is looking for volunteers to share shopping lists on social media to encourage people to donate.
Tesco will top up customer donations by 20 per cent.
