PARAMEDICS working across Inverclyde will now be able to provide patients who are at risk from an overdose with life-saving equipment to take home with them.
Greenock ambulance station has joined the Scottish Ambulance Service in its take-home Naloxone pilot scheme which was originally rolled out in Glasgow.
People treated by paramedics for a non-fatal overdose not going to hospital will be given a kit to take away.
The drug reverses the effects of an opioid overdose.
