A MUCH-loved community police officer has retired.
PC Alastair McDonald was presented with a plaque from Gourock Community Council for his services to the area during his career.
The long-serving officer has been on the beat for 22 years during his 30 year-long career.
Chief Inspector Debbie Reilly said: "Thank-you to Gourock Community Council for recognising the work of PC McDonald.
"We are going to miss him."
