INVERCLYDE'S weekly rate of positive coronavirus tests stands at 67 per 100,000.
The figures for the week ending October 24 place the district in a comparatively healthy position in relation to neighbouring and other areas across the central belt.
The area was listed 21st out of all 32 Scottish local authorities under statistics compiled by Public Health Scotland.
None of the 11 places under Inverclyde in the list are subject to the extra public health restrictions which currently apply here.
South Lanarkshire topped the league table at 375 positive tests per 100k.
Renfrewshire's figure is 213.
The government is set to introduce a new five-level system of restrictions from Monday.
Announcements on where each area will be placed in the new tiered framework are expected to be made on Thursday.
