A PORT Glasgow man has been charged with assaulting his partner after allegedly turning up at her home and demanding entry to the property.
Ryan McNeil, 22, is said to have placed the woman in a state of fear and alarm by shouting, swearing and repeatedly striking her front door.
He is further charged with seizing her, pushing her to the floor, sitting astride her and restraining her.
Prosecutors say the alleged offences were committed on October 24.
McNeil, of Golf Drive, appeared at Greenock Sheriff Court and pleaded not guilty through lawyer Aidan Gallagher.
The case is due to call again next February.
