A PRIMARY school and a nursery are the latest educational establishments affected by new cases of coronavirus.
St Ninian’s Primary in Gourock and St Joseph’s Primary School nursery in Greenock have both had to send children home due to positive Covid-19 tests.
Port Glasgow High has also been hit in recent days.
A spokesman for Inverclyde Council said: "Parents and carers of pupils affected or requiring to self-isolate have received communication through the school."
The Tele revealed last week how hundreds of local pupils have been forced to miss school because of Covid-19 - with around 30 staff members absent according to education bosses.
Latest figures show that there have been over 800 recorded absences this month among pupils at primary and secondary schools, all directly linked to the outbreak.
