A MAN is said to have charged at Greenock police officers with a pole in Greenock's east end.

The 22-year-old caused a disturbance on Belville Street before making off and being spotted on Finnieston Street just after 1am on Monday.

He was restrained and arrested and a report has been sent to the fiscal.
