ONE of Inverclyde's best loved charity champions is donating to a cause close to local people's hearts.
Greenock's fundraising powerhouse Tommy Armstrong has been putting all his effortrs into raising money for Inverclyde Royal.
The pensioner has hundreds of thousands of pounds over the years, with his annual Santa Dash, charity runs and a fundraising pitch in West Blackhall Street.
Mpst recently Tommy handed over £800 to show his support for staff and patients in the hospital.

Inverclyde was one of the area's hardest hit at the start of the coronavirus outbreak and has the highest rate of deaths in the country.
During lockdown they were showered with donations to help support patients.
