A MAN locked up after stealing a tin of custard during a break-in to a Greenock flat must wait until two days before Christmas before finding out the length of his prison sentence.
Graham Pearson — who also loitered in a Port Glasgow street with an axe — had been due to learn his fate on Friday but a pre-sentencing background report wasn't available.
Pearson, 38, was spotted with the axe on Montgomerie Street in October last year.
He broke in to a woman's home on Greenock's West Blackhall Street in March and stole custard and a stereo speaker.
The case is due to call again on December 23.
