THE library in Port Glasgow is closing for four months for internal building works.
The Fore Street facility will shut on Christmas Eve for around 16 weeks.
A temporary ‘pop-up’ library service will operate from nearby 7½ John Wood Street from January 11.
It will be open each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am-2pm.
People will also be able to use any of Inverclyde’s five other libraries during this time for PC access and the ‘Connect & Connect’ service.
The closure is to allow for Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd, a tenant in the Port Municipal Buildings, to expand their office space.
