Yesterday we gave a round up of some of the local festive fun you can have in Inverclyde this December.

Despite many things being cancelled this year, the good people of Inverclyde have rallied around to make the most of the situation.

Here's another five things to keep you busy this Christmas holiday.

Go on a festive post box hunt

Greenock Telegraph:

Many beautiful knitted post box coverings have popped up across Inverclyde. Why not go on a treasure hunt to see how many you can spot? Feel free to share photos with us on Instagram by tagging @greenocktele.

Enjoy a music performance

Greenock Telegraph:

Inverclyde Voices are putting on a livestream musical performance on Tuesday evening. It’ll include songs from their past performances and special contributions from the Inverclyde Junior and Senior choirs.

Watch it here at 7.30pm.

Larkfield Light Displays

Greenock Telegraph:

Local Facebook page, LarkfieldLife, ran a competition to find the best Christmas lights display in the Larkfield area.

Over 150 houses participated and all the photographs will be posted on Facebook.

If you fancy a run in the car, you could also wait until it’s dark and go see them all in person!

See the photos here.

Support local businesses

Greenock Telegraph:

Inverclyde has many amazing local businesses that we should all give a helping hand this Christmas. Enjoy the offerings of Gourock’s Kempock Street or visit many of the local shops and traders in Greenock’s town centre.

Have a Christmas catch-up

Greenock Telegraph:

Many local cafes and restaurants have festive offerings on the menu this month. Places like The Tontine, The River and The Waterwheel (to name a few) all have special items on the menu that will disappear come January.
