A GREENOCK man has been charged with uttering threats and offensive comments whilst in possession of weapons in Port Glasgow town centre.
Anthony McVey, 35, is accused of making derogatory remarks in reference to race, religion, sexuality and disability.
Prosecutors say he also smashed a glass door at the Spar shop on Princes Street with a hammer.
McVey, of Greenock's Bawhirley Road, is also said to have had a rolling pin in his possession.
The alleged offences are said to have occurred on February 19 whilst he was on bail.
He has maintained pleas of not guilty through lawyer Marc Chambers.
The case is due to call again on January 5.
