Snow could fall on Inverclyde from this afternoon, the Met Office has announced.
A yellow weather warning for snow and ice is active from 3pm today.
Information from the Met Office stated the adverse weather could cause travel distruptions.
The national weather service advised Inverclyde residents to take care on icy paths on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths to prevent slips and falls.
They also stated that those travelling for essential purposes should expect longer journey times by road, bus and train.
