THE coronavirus death toll in Inverclyde has risen to 132.
Latest National Records of Scotland figures show that there have been three recently registered deaths of people who had the virus.
One death has been recorded over each of the last three recorded weeks up to January 3.
The Scotland-wide figure for the latest week was 183.
The highest number of deaths in the week to January 3 occurred in City of Edinburgh (24), Glasgow City (21) and Fife (16).
The NRS has warned that itsfigures may have to be revised upwards.
They said: "As there were fewer registrations than usual from 21 December to 3 January, due to public holidays, death registrations are likely to be lower than the actual numbers of deaths that occurred in these weeks."
