A GREENOCK man brandished a sword while his co-accused attacked another male to injury with a screwdriver, it is alleged.
Steven McFarlane, 30, is said to have had the alleged large bladed weapon at a flat on the town's West Blackhall Street.
David Cullen, 27, is charged with repeatedly punching another man on the body and striking him on the head and body with a screwdriver.
Prosecutors say the alleged offences occurred on September 12 last year.
McFarlane, currently remanded in custody, and Cullen, of Wellington Street, have pleaded not guilty through lawyers David Tod and Terry Gallanagh.
The indictment case is due to call again at Greenock Sheriff Court on March 23.
