THE sudden death of Greenock man Samuel Arkley is not being treated as suspicious.
Thirty-four-year-old Mr Arkley's body was found by police within a flat on West Blackhall Street after officers were called to the address at 1.20am Friday.
Detectives were initially treating his death as unexplained and a cordon remained in place along part of the street for more than 14 hours while enquiries were carried out.
Uniformed officers stood guard outside the door of a common close next to Cafe Balfe throughout the day and inquiries continued over the weekend.
However, Detective Inspector David Wagstaff this morning confirmed to the Telegraph that no further action would be taken
He said: "The death of the 34-year-old man is not being treated as suspicious."
