A DOUBLE blade attack accused man will have been locked up on remand for the equivalent of a 16-month prison sentence by the time his case calls for trial in March.
Michael Drummond, 39, is charged with chasing two people through Greenock Cemetery and striking each of them with a knife on July 28 last year.
He has been kept behind bars after no trial date could be fixed at repeated preliminary callings of the case during the coronavirus pandemic.
A further motion for bail by defence lawyer Aidan Gallagher at the latest hearing was refused by Sheriff Andrew McIntyre.
A sheriff and jury trial has been set for March 15.
