VOLUNTARY groups across Inverclyde have just a few days to apply for financial support through a council funding scheme.
The council’s ‘grants to voluntary organisations’ fund is open for applications for round two of the 2020/21 financial year.
A limited amount of money is available and groups can apply for funding to use to support a range of activities.
In light of the recent tighter Covid-19 restrictions which have been put in place, the council has opened up the scheme to all groups currently experiencing financial difficulty or expecting hardship, even if the applicant received money in round one earlier in the financial year.
Councillor Graeme Brooks, who chairs the grants sub-committee, said: “Across Inverclyde we have groups doing fantastic work right and we recognise the difficulties many are facing right now due to the pandemic, which is why we’re opening up round two to more organisations."
Further information is available within the ‘community grants’ page on the council website at www.inverclyde.gov.uk and applications must be received by close of business on Monday.
