EDUCATION bosses say they are closer to appointing a new contractor for the long-delayed £2m Gourock Primary extension.
There has been no work carried out since construction firm JB Bennett went bust last February.
Moves to appoint a new contractor were put on hold during the pandemic and the process did not get under way until August.
Officials say the tender process will be completed using emergency powers as soon as the cost and funding position is clarified.
