A MAN 'maliciously' smeared his own blood on a van in Port Glasgow and vandalised it — causing nearly £1,000 worth of damage.
Kenneth Scott, 59, kicked in the Fiat Scudo's headlights, ripped off its windscreen wipers and pulled plastic from the panel van's bodywork.
Greenock Sheriff Court heard how the owner of the vehicle was out of pocket to the tune of £870 as a result of the incident on the Port's Clydeview Road in July 2019.
Scott, whose address wasn't given in court, has been ordered to pay compensation to that amount.
