AN ex-gambler is part of a new national campaign for tough regulations to be introduced to save others going down a similar path.
Local man Paul Pettigrew, who runs a support group for problem gamblers, featured in The Sunday Times.
The 24-year-old, who landed himself in almost £30k of debt, featured alongside other ex-gamblers calling on the betting industry to prevent more people facing a similar fate.
Paul is also in discussions with local education bosses about linking up with schools to deter youngsters from betting.
