A BISHOPBRIGGS choir has hit the high note by raising an incredible £20,000 for charity. 

For the first time, Springfield Cambridge Festival Chorus conducted their 20th annual concert online due to constraints of the Covid pandemic. 

Despite the change, the 160-strong group still managed to raise tens of thousands of pounds in aid of Children’s Hospices Across Scotland

It brings the sum raised over the years by the group for the charity to a staggering £390,000.

Musical Director, Alan A. Craig said: “We are delighted to have raised such a fantastic amount through our virtual concert for CHAS, a charity so close to our hearts.

“The event provided a unique opportunity for a much wider audience to enjoy the Christmas magic of a much-loved event that usually sells out weeks in advance and meant our music could be enjoyed by friends and families all over the world.
