THE total grants bill for local businesses during the pandemic is forecast to reach almost £20m in the next few weeks.
The council has been administering a number of funding streams on behalf of the Scottish Government since last spring,
Payments made by the council in 2020/21 now exceed £14m and accountants estimate that this will exceed £18m by the end of March.
