COUNCIL bosses have been given a clean bill of health for their Covid-19 precautions at the Municipal Buildings.
The Health & Safety Executive carried out a recent spot check and inspectors said they were satisfied with the arrangements in place during their unannounced visit.
They said the government directive that staff should work from home where possible was being adhered to, that cleaning regimes had been maintained despite reduced numbers of staff and noted that social distancing was being observed, with screens in place throughout public areas, and face-coverings being worn by staff and visitors.
Council officials said 'no issues were raised by the inspecting officer and they appeared satisfied with the controls in place'.
