A PORT Glasgow man is set for trial accused of being four-times the alcohol limit whilst in charge of a car he is alleged to have taken without its owner's consent.
Patrick Reid, 32, is said to have had 88mcg of booze in 100ml of breath after police arrested him on Auchenfoyle Road, Kilmacolm, in December 2019.
Prosecutors say that Reid, of Burnside Avenue, took a silver-coloured Ford Focus from an address on the Port's Woodhall Terrace.
He has had pleas of not guilty maintained in his absence from the sheriff court by lawyer Aidan Gallagher.
A trial is due to take place next month.
