INVERCLYDE'S MP Ronnie Cowan has urged people to continue to adhere to lockdown restrictions.
Mr Cowan spoke out after the Tele reported how seven more local people had died as a result of coronavirus, taking the death toll to 191.
He said: "Undoubtedly we are moving in the right direction in our common fight against Covid but we must not let our guard down too early.
"The consequences can be dire.
"Every death is a tragedy and we should all continue to do everything we can to protect our community."
