THE Port Glasgow government-owned firm responsible for ferries and harbours is launching a major vessel replacement programme.
Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd (CMAL), in partnership with Transport Scotland and CalMac, is to replace up to seven small ‘loch class’ vessels serving the Clyde and Hebrides Ferry Services network, including MV Loch Fyne, pictured.
The programme will lead to a multi-million-pound investment in renewal of the small vessel fleet.
