A GREENOCK man charged with alleged historical sexual offences against a schoolboy is to stand trial before a sheriff and jury.
Kevin Reid, 53, is accused of committing a range of crimes against the then-child on various occasions between 2008 and 2014, including attempting to induce him to watch pornography.
Reid is also accused of pulling down his own clothing and exposing his himself in the boy's presence.
Prosecutors say he made sexual and indecent comments to the alleged victim 'for the purposes of obtaining sexual gratification or of humiliating, distressing or alarming' him.
The boy was aged between ten and 15 at the time of the claimed offences.
Reid had pleas of not guilty to all charges tendered in his excused absence from a first calling of the indictment case.
The trial is due to take place in May.
