POLICE pounced at a railway station in Greenock this afternoon after a man allegedly causing disorder fled from officers.
A pursuit was sparked in the east end just after 1pm today.
It saw police in at least four vehicles urgently searching for a suspect, with officers eventually converging on Cartsdyke Station.
An eyewitness said: "There were police cars buzzing about the area and they all surrounded Cartsdyke looking for someone."
Police Scotland confirmed that a man had been arrested.
A spokesperson said: “Officers were in the area of the train station at 1pm on Saturday, 27 September, 2021 after a 39-year-old man made off from officers.
"He was subsequently arrested in connection with disorder offences a short time later.”
