AN assault-accused Greenock man has been charged with ripping hair from his ex-partner's scalp.
Craig Stewart, 36, is said by the Crown to have pushed the woman, causing her to fall and strike her head on the floor of her home.
Prosecutors say he then seized her hair and pulled it.
Stewart, of Broomhill Court, is further charged with striking work surfaces, dishes and a wall with a mop before allegedly throwing a mobile phone at a wall.
The alleged offences are said to have been committed on February 15.
Stewart has pleaded not guilty at the sheriff court through lawyer Gerry Keenan.
The case is due to call again on March 23.
