A CRASH involving three cars closed a road in the west end of Greenock.
The accident happened on Lyle Road around 5.30pm on Tuesday.
Police and ambulance crews immediately rushed to the scene and the road was shut while police investigated and the damaged vehicles were removed by recovery teams.
The fire service also attended because of a possible fuel leak.
Two of the vehicles were left extensively damaged and the airbags of one appeared to have deployed, such was the force of the collision.
Fortunately no one was seriously injured and police say that no one has been charged.
