EIGHT more people in Inverclyde have died as a result of coronavirus.
The latest weekly figure is up by one on the previous seven day period.
A total of 23 deaths were recorded from all causes between February 22-28, meaning that Covid-19 accounted for just over a third of registrations.
The latest update, released by National Records of Scotland, takes the district's virus death toll since the pandemic began to 199.
Sixty seven local people who had Covid-19 have died this year.
