TWO Gourock sisters turned songstresses have released a new video inspired by the River Clyde to accompany a song from their third album.

Sister Alison and Fiona McNeill, from hit Celtic folk fusion rock band Reely Jiggered, shot their own video across Inverclyde for their hit song 'Lost in Time'.

The track, from their 'Tricky Terrain' album penned during lockdown with bandmate Scott McLean, was inspired by the local landscape and people the band have met both at home and on their travels abroad.

The musical maestros - who this year are celebrating 10 years of the band - shot the video at Lunderston Bay and today debuted it on YouTube and their social media channels.

Alison, 35, says the trio enjoyed the process behind filming and were able to put their own creative stamp on the finished product.

She told the Tele: "Filming the video was a lot of fun - it was all self-shot and something new for us, previously we've had people do it for us.

"We had a lot of time on our hands with our gigs being cancelled, so decided to put it to good use and do something productive and creative.

"Throughout lockdown and our 'Live on the Drive' gigs outside the house, we've gained a lot of followers across the world.

"So not only is this showing our music off, shooting it locally shows off the beauty of Inverclyde."

The album boasts 10 tracks and it explores politics, mental health and world issues whilst being a reflection of Scottish culture and diversity.

The sister act dubbed their filming and production venture 'Alfi Studios' and guitarist Fiona was able to put the skills she acquired on her Masters degree to use.

The 32-year-old said: "Getting to make these videos has been such an enjoyable experience and it has been good having the time to do something like this.

"It has been something to focus on and just one of the things we've been able to achieve during lockdown.

"Our gigs from our driveway went on for 20 weeks and we then had special events at St Andrew's Day, Burns Night and Christmas.

"We're currently in talks with the organisers of Tartan Week in New York too as we've grown such a big American audience.

"So this video is a chance to show off our town and our music before hopefully going over there in 2022."
