SCHOOL pupils in Inverclyde with mental health problems are being fast tracked for counselling.
A new service run by Action for Children means young people can be referred to them for either one-to-one sessions or group therapy.
Education chiefs say it aims to reduce pressures on the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service and has proved hugely successful so far.
All parents have been informed about the service and senior pupils have also been made aware, with some of them self-referring.
