A SENIOR councillor has criticised the continued use of Covid-19 emergency powers by officials.
David Wilson spoke out at a committee meeting after decisions were made by officers on grants for voluntary organisations.
Councillor Wilson said: "There are far too many decisions being made under Covid-19 emergency powers held by officers.
"In regards to the grants, I would like to see who applied, who received grants and who didn't.
"As ward councillors we need to know."
This request was backed by others on the committee, including independent Lynne Quinn and convener Jim Clocherty.
Mr Clocherty said: "This is a reasonable request to make.
"I think all councillors should get a full list of all the organisations who received grants."
Officials have agreed to update elected members on the payment details.
