FANS of live music in Inverclyde will be on their fest behaviour at an entertainment spectacular at the end of the year.

The countdown is on to big bash to bring live music back in style.

Gareth Gonet, founder of B12 Entertainment, is bringing 01475 Winterfestival to the Gamble Halls in Gourock on December 4.

A total of 13 bands will play at the indoor music festival, which the promoter hopes will showcase the wealth of musical talent across Inverclyde and beyond.

Bands already confirmed for the bill include Ama Jane, Black Dove, Slix, TheSocial, St. Clements, Connor Fyfe, Strange Dimensions, and Mayah Herlihy.

Gareth introduced the 01475 series of monthly gigs in 2020 before coronavirus lockdown hit.

Winterfestival is a spin-off from the series - and Gareth says he hopes it will help to build up momentum for the return of regular 01475 nights.

He said: "I want to create a really recognisable monthly event and a series that people will get to know.

"We'll have smaller monthly events and three or four bigger events throughout the year, at the Gamble Halls or Greenock Town Hall.

"It's about growing live music and entertainment in Inverclyde.

"There are so many bands out there that are deserving of success.

"Winterfestival will give them a great opportunity to get on stage and get some fantastic experience."

Tickets for Winterfestival will go on sale on March 24.

All tickets will remain valid if the event has to be delayed in the event of ongoing coronavirus restrictions, but organisers are hopeful they will not need a postponement.
