ROYAL Navy fleet flagship HMS Queen Elizabeth made royal waves as she departed down the River Clyde today.
The 65,000 tonne £3 billion aircraft carrier had arrived on Monday for her first visit to the west coast of Scotland.
She has been at the MOD's new £64m ammunition jetty at Loch Long, as part of prepararations ahead of her first operational deployment later this year.
She left Glen Mallan this morning and as she made her way down the Firth of Clyde people watched from the coastline.
