THE number of people out of work is rising in Inverclyde, according to latest figures from the Department for Work & Pensions.
A total of 9,044 people were claiming Universal Credit in February compared with 8,934 the month before.
This is an increase of 110.
The increase of 1.2 per cent is still less than the Scottish average of 2.3 per cent.
