A GREENOCK offender who was given an electronic tagging order breached the sentence because he ran out of electricity in his flat.
Christopher Hendry, of Prospecthill Street, had been tagged as an alternative to prison after committing three breaches of bail regarding other criminal matters.
His lawyer, Aidan Gallagher, told the sheriff court: "He had no electricity in the premises so the device didn't work."
Mr Gallagher added: "His girlfriend is willing to have him at her house on Roxburgh Way."
Sheriff Michael Higgins has continued consideration of the case until April 13.
