DRIVERS face disruption as part of a busy Greenock town centre main road closes for 'essential' roadworks.
Maintenance work worth £16,000 will be carried out to 'improve safety' on the key Inverkip Street stretch between the A78 East/West Shaw Street roundabout and Sir Michael Street Roundabout
The work - which had originally been scheduled for mid-February - will take place between 8pm on Saturday April 17 until 6am on Monday April 19.
