A GREENOCK man has been charged with unlawful possession of a lock-back knife on the town's Bow Road at 1.20am.

Alexander Mills, 54, of Newton Street, is said to have committed the alleged offence on March 24.

He pleaded not guilty through lawyer Ellen Macdonald at the sheriff court.

Sheriff Michael Higgins allowed bail with a night-time 7pm to 7am curfew.

The case is due to call again on October 12, ahead of a trial scheduled for November 15.
