INVERCLYDE has just recorded its first week so far this year with no coronavirus deaths.
National Records of Scotland today confirmed that no registrations with Covid-19 on the death certificate were recorded between April 12-18.
A total of 23 people passed away from other causes during that seven day period.
This is the area's first week free from coronavirus deaths since last year.
The district's death toll remains at 81 for 2021 and the total since the pandemic began last spring stays at 213.
