INVERCLYDE'S temperatures are set to rival those of sunny Spain this weekend as the good spell of weather is expected to last until Sunday.
Daytime temperatures in Greenock are expected to sit at highs of 17C...whilst Barcelona in Spain will be sitting at the same.
Sun worshippers will be pleased to know the good weather is expected to last into Monday when beer gardens across Inverclyde reopen.
Met Office meteorologist Steven Keates has said sunny days will be followed by frosty nights, with the mercury expected to drop below zero after dark across the UK.
On Saturday, the sun is expected to set at 8.43pm - perfect for those who are looking to visit friends and families in their garden.
This time last year Inverclyde were in the middle of a heatwave, with temperatures reaching 23C as we approached the end of April.
