WEST College Scotland lecturers have officially ended their strike action.

The dispute over the role of assessors finally came to an end following four days of strikes by the union and plans to escalate it further.

Peace talks took place between the Colleges Scotland Employers' Association and the EIS-FELA union.

A Colleges Scotland Employers’ Association spokesperson said: "The association has unanimously ratified a resolution to the dispute as agreed with the EIS-FELA last week.

"We welcome the EIS-FELA’s acceptance of the resolution, and their commitment to end strike action.

“This is great news for students and their lecturers.”
