A MAN was rescued after falling into the water while out on a boat off Gourock.
Lifeboat crews and the coastguard rushed to Cardwell Bay this afternoon following reports someone was in the water.
The emergency response was launched just after 4pm.
A Coastguard spokeswoman said: "We responded to a call to say that a man had fallen into the water from a boat in Cardwell Bay.
"The lifeboat was launched but he was brought to safety.
"We brought him in to get him checked over by an ambulance crew."
