LABOUR'S new leader says promises over the future of Inverclyde Royal have been broken.
Anas Sarwar accused Nicola Sturgeon of breaking a promise she made to local people over the hospital.
Mr Sarwar said: “Campaigners in Inverclyde have barely had a moment's rest in standing up for their local hospital over recent years.
“In 2016 Nicola Sturgeon herself promised there was nothing to fear for the future of Inverclyde Royal, but she took her eye off the ball and services have been closed, downgraded, or moved to Glasgow - more of the SNP's litany of broken promises.
"Scottish Labour understands the value of local services and for an NHS recovery plan to get services back on track and recognise staff contributions."
