ALEX Salmond enjoyed some locks-down banter during his campaign visit to Greenock — with a visit to the barbers.
The Alba Party leader — here to support local candidate Chris McEleny — cut a dash in the Crown and Glory salon on the town's West Stewart Street.
Mr Salmond, who drove from Strichen in Aberdeenshire to Inverclyde following the easing of coronavirus restrictions, had earlier enjoyed a pizza and a coffee in Tonino's Pizzeria at Grey Place.
Candidate Mr McEleny said: "He spoke to the staff about how they were doing with reopening then stopped for a blether with people on West Blackhall Street as we walked through the town."
Mr Salmond was later greeted with cheers and applause from supporters as a press photographers jockeyed for position to snap him at Mr McEleny's campaign billboard across the road from the barbers.
